Op het secretariaat kregen we in de loop der jaren een hele voorraad insectenspelden bij elkaar van overleden entomologen of mensen die met het verzamelen van insecten gestopt waren. Al dit materiaal bestaat uit zwarte insectenspelden met nylon kop van de nummers 2, 3 en 4 van het befaamde merk Imperial uit het bekende Oostenrijkse productiehuis Karlsbad. Deze spelden zitten per 100 stuks in de originele papieren zakjes.
Daarnaast bevat de stock nog minutienaaldjes voor het prepareren van microlepidoptera of andere erg kleine insecten, nummers 014 en 020. Deze naaldjes zijn respectievelijk 0,14 en 0,20 mm dik en hebben een lengte van ca. 15 mm. Een papieren zakje bevat 500 minutienaaldjes.
